A Vida Invisível

On a long, solitary night, Hugo, a government employee, finds himself sitting on the steps of the Ministry where he works, unable to bring himself to return home. His mind is haunted by the enigmatic 8 mm films he discovered in António’s house after António’s death. Hugo recalls the moment when António, his boss at the Ministry, confided in him about his impending death. It seemed as though António was trying to convey something significant about Hugo himself. This unspoken message ignites Hugo’s curiosity, prompting a flood of memories from his past. Unexpectedly, Hugo reflects on the last encounter with Adriana, the woman he loved, and once again experiences the sense of a life he feels he never truly lived.
