Away and Back

When a group of swans settles on the Peterson farm, 10-year-old Frankie is immediately enchanted. However, the arrival of pragmatic ornithologist Ginny Newsom, determined to “rescue” the elegant creatures, stirs things up. Frankie’s father, Jack, takes an instant disliking to the assertive and opinionated Ginny. Meanwhile, Frankie and her brothers keenly observe the evolving dynamic between their widowed father and the determined Ginny, wondering if the initial friction might be turning into something more romantic.
