Desperation Road

After spending 11 years in a Mississippi state prison, Russell Gaines finds it difficult to escape the shadows of his past as he comes back to live with his reserved father, Mitchell. One night, he encounters Maben, a young mother who possesses only a stolen firearm and the burden of a slain police officer. Both in dire situations and fleeing from their troubles, Russell and Maben must rely on each other to break free from their predicaments, all while the dark secrets of their shared violent history loom over them, threatening to unravel their lives.
