Meet Amirah Al-Amir, an ambitious boxing trainer of Iraqi-Australian descent, who has always looked up to her world champion father, Sami. She spends her days working at the family gym in Sydney’s western suburbs with her two brothers. Amirah manages to secure a professional debut match for her determined fighter, Jess O’Connor, with the help of Sami’s long-time promoter, Strick. However, her father is enraged when he discovers she did this without his knowledge and threatens to disown her. Now, Amirah faces a tough decision: should she pursue her dream of revolutionizing women’s boxing or stay loyal to her family?
