In Los Angeles, a duo of detectives delves into cases of stalking.

Lieutenant Beth Davis, a determined and focused expert on persistent harassment, leads the LAPD’s Threat Assessment Unit. Her expertise is fueled by her own past experiences as a victim. The unit tackles various forms of stalking, such as voyeurism, cyberharassment, and obsessive romantic pursuits. Recently transferred Jack Larsen, whose past is marked by a contentious personality and dubious actions, might find his background beneficial in his new role on her team. The unit also includes the enthusiastic young detective Ben Caldwell and the surprisingly astute Janice Lawrence. Together, they strive to prevent situations from escalating while managing their own personal fixations.
