For many years, an unknown presence has been observing and analyzing humanity. The true nature of this entity remains a mystery to all except Ivan Petrenko Karkarov, a Russian physicist who began investigating this peculiar occurrence decades ago. In 1982, Karkarov uncovered the truth behind the phenomenon, but he disappeared under mysterious circumstances before he could share his findings. Fast forward 30 years to Newell, Iowa, where Dean Hollister appears to be an ordinary man until unusual radar disturbances start manifesting globally. Suddenly, the sky is filled with ominous black rifts, and something lurking behind them is watching us.
