Joaquim Pinto has been managing life with HIV and VHC for nearly two decades. “What Now? Remind Me” serves as a journal chronicling a year of clinical trials involving potent, experimental medications that have not yet received approval. The film offers a broad and introspective meditation on themes such as time and memory, the impact of epidemics and globalization, and the resilience of the human spirit against all odds, as well as the concepts of dissent and unconditional love. Through a narrative that oscillates between current experiences and past recollections, the film also honors both the friends who have passed away and those who continue to be part of his life.
